Airbnb expands its offering in France with three travel services

Luggage storage, car rental and airport transfers: Airbnb integrates these services into its app in France through partnerships with Bounce, CarTrawler and Welcome Pickups.

Airbnb is expanding its app in France to cover more stages of the trip. Three new services are now accessible from the platform: luggage storage, car rental and private airport transfers.

Luggage storage

In partnership with Bounce, Airbnb offers more than 24,600 drop-off points in over 800 cities — a 350% increase since the official launch in May. According to an Airbnb study conducted with Focaldata, 53% of travelers needed a luggage storage service in the past 12 months; in France, 96% of those who used it consider the service very useful.

In France, luggage storage is available notably in the Alpes-Maritimes, the Aude, the Calvados, Cannes, the Côte-d’Or, the Finistère, the Haut-Rhin, Hendaye, Lille, Montpellier, Nancy, Metz, Nantes, the Pyrénées‑Atlantiques, the Pyrénées‑Orientales, Reims and the Sarthe. An automatic 15% discount applies to eligible bookings.

Car rental

Via CarTrawler, users can compare and book a vehicle anywhere in France without leaving the platform. According to Focaldata for Airbnb, 84% of travelers find it useful to book a car at the same time as their accommodation, and 44% of French travelers consider this option very useful.

After the first booking, some eligible travelers receive a 20% Airbnb credit usable on a future stay, an experience or certain services; selected rental providers may also offer discounts of up to 20%.

Airport transfers

Thanks to Welcome Pickups, Airbnb allows pre-booking a private transfer from the airport, with confirmation before landing and a driver waiting at arrivals. In France, this service is available in the Pyrénées‑Atlantiques, Lille, Montpellier, Nantes, Rennes and Strasbourg, with discounts of up to 20% depending on destination.

Airbnb continues its aim to offer a comprehensive travel platform, simplifying every step from arrival to departure.
