The Fondation du patrimoine has launched an annual subscription granting access to 500 sites in France: individual plan at €78 and several family options, presented on the occasion of the Heritage Days.
A subscription to rediscover heritage
The Fondation du patrimoine launched, at the end of the week before the Heritage Days, a “Pass Patrimoine” allowing access to 500 sites in France in exchange for an annual membership. The individual plan is offered at €78 per year (that is €6.50 per month with a one-year commitment), and options for two people or for families round out the offer.
Four plans and a variety of sites
The Foundation markets four annual subscriptions: €78 for a single person, €114 for two people, €138 for a family including one adult and children, and €175 for a family made up of two adults and children.
The offer includes very well-known monuments — the Château de Versailles, the Domaine national de Chambord, the Château de Fontainebleau, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, and the Hospices de Beaune — but also less-visited places such as the Maison d’Ernest Renan (Côtes-d’Armor), the Château de Villandraut (Gironde), the Château de Javarzay (Deux-Sèvres) and the Four des Casseaux (Haute-Vienne).
Financial support for partner sites
According to the Foundation, partner structures will receive on average 80% of the full price for each visit triggered by the pass. Alexandre Giuglaris, Director General of the Foundation, says there are about five partner sites on average per department. Beyond visits, the subscription will also grant access to one-off events — temporary visits, lectures, concerts — to encourage attendance and generate new revenue.
“To encourage more and more French people to discover their heritage” and “to generate resources thanks to these new visitors.”
Profitability and usage
The question of profitability will depend on the monuments chosen: the 500 sites have different prices, so there is no universal threshold of visits to “break even” on the subscription. Some sites will allow multiple entries (up to four visits per year for most), while others, such as Versailles, Azay‑le‑Rideau or the Villa Cavrois, will admit only a single annual entry for pass holders. The Pass is personal and digital via an app, the Foundation specifies.

The Swiss Museum Pass allows access to more than 500 museums across the country, with prices starting at CHF 147.– and advantageous offers for families.
Another particularly interesting possibility for Raiffeisen customers: the MemberPlus programme can, under certain conditions, provide free entry to more than 500 museums in Switzerland.
