PriceMice is a free extension from the NordVPN team that looks for the lowest rate for the same room by comparing prices shown from other countries. How it works and limitations.
What is PriceMice?
Developed by the creators of NordVPN, PriceMice is a free browser extension for Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave) launched by NordVPN. It helps travelers spot, with one click, whether the same room for the same dates and number of guests is cheaper when viewed from another country.
How does it work?
- Install the extension and sign in with a NordVPN account.
- Click the “Find better price” button next to an offer: the tool compares final prices (taxes and fees included if provided by the site) across several countries.
- Connect to the VPN server in the recommended country (NordVPN on desktop or Saily eSIM on mobile) and complete the booking.

What to know
- Currently, PriceMice works on the booking.com site. Other sites are planned.
- Savings can be substantial, but prices can change or be incorrect: matching is done by AI and may contain errors.
- The extension only requires an email and collects analytics only optionally.
- It is forbidden to use PriceMice to circumvent regulatory or judicial measures; its use must comply with laws and service terms.
